Homemade Magic Shell

This recipe works really well for Magic Shell. Found it through pintrest. We have only tried chocolate so far, but I'm imagining butterscotch and other yummy flavors.


1 c chocolate chips
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil

Melt in microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between until melted.

Store in a canning jar in the pantry. Re-heat to liquify again.

Coconut oil is solid at 76* F, so it works well in this recipe when it comes in contact with cold ice cream. I might just have to try coconut oil in my chocolate fountain too, and see if I can get a chocolate the runs smoothly in the fountain but sets up after being dipped. Aah, the possibilities.
